This is a loaded class, so that decision may end up costing him. With Williams, Maye, Daniels, Penix, Nix and McCarthy all ahead of him, and Ewers perhaps as well (but not in my opinion), he could easily slip to late 3rd or even Day 3.
Talent wise he is probably top 5 (at the position, not overall).

I didn't even know who Texas' QB was a week ago. Now I know why.

Seems like we didn’t either. Pete said this week that they might have focused too much on not getting beat deep and let the Steelers have too much running too. That mother fucker watched tape of the Steelers this year and figured the best way to beat them was to take away the deep ball!? It’s like when he said if the Bills had just tried to run the ball they had a great scheme done that! Do they even scout the opponent or do they just randomly select a plan each week hoping it helps take away what the other team does?

Only my teams. I remember watching Jimmy lake play a 3 - 2 fucking defense against Colorado and Stanford and basically never force a punt and just watch them have ten minute scoring drives. These fuckers make a shit ton of money to come up with this shit!

Ward was projected as a 5th rounder just a few weeks ago. I believe he will move into the 2nd day of the draft.

Something to keep in mind with Ward is that he was under siege more than just about any QB in college football. Meanwhile, he also evaded pressure successfully more than nearly every QB in college football. He does it will eyes downfield scanning for targets.

It was interesting to see all these high-end D-I teams salivating the prospects of Ward taking NIL money. But I'm glad he's hitting the draft. I hope the Seahawks take him

NBC Sports' Peter King is predicting that the ground is being put down for the Seahawks to not only draft a QB in the upcoming NFL Draft, but to trade up in the draft to pick a successor for quarterback Smith.

Writes the long-time NFL reporter King: "As for teams anxious to deal up for a quarterback, let's see if Minnesota, at 11, moves aggressively to sign Kirk Cousins (I doubt it). Then it's Denver at 12, Vegas at 13, Seattle at 16 (I bet Seattle tries to move up) in the derby for young quarterbacks."

If the Hawks can't get a starting QB, I home they draft Odunze. That would give them more than enough weapons at WR to put the fear of God into the rest of the NFC West!

Honestly that wouldn't be a bad consolation prize. Would we have space for him with DK, Tyler, & JSN. Unless Tyler hangs it up I suppose. Gotta go all in for 1 of these QB's. Don't be fooled, Schneider & his team are doing their homework on all these top QB's even Penix. If there's any year to trade up for a potential franchise QB, it's this year.

Would probably work if TL retires after next season too...
