You guys know I hate Jerry more than Death itself but there is no way in hell he is done.Big_Maple wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 7:37 pmI am not the least bit optimistic with the roster we have right now. We have a gaping hole in right field. And left field. I’m unimpressed with our infield situation. We brought in a guy who hasn’t had a professional hit at T-Mobile to DH. Our only saving grace is our pitching.
I kind of get the sense that we are done for the offseason. If this is the case, then yikes.
I am intrigued by the Braves. They have made some I interesting offseason moves that could really pay off. Sale may find his second wind and it would be just our luck if Kelenic became an all star. I will be following the Braves with some interest next season.

I guess I am a dope that doesn't know how to read.Michael K. wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 8:50 pmYet the topic says "As it stands now". So that is how I voted. Which I guess makes me a "dope that doesn't understand baseball."

Re: 2024 season
So, the M's might make some more moves before the trade deadline, but if they aren't competitive in standings will they actually grab a bat or 2?
Let's say they do grab a bat, they'll have to trade 1 or 2 of their young pitchers (maybe even Castillo or Gilbert). One bat will not get this team to the 88-90+ wins I think it will take to get a WC spot.
Future seems bleak.

They need to grab bats BEFORE V Day! We saw how waiting until the season was 2/3 over worked out.acctingman wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 10:33 pmSo, the M's might make some more moves before the trade deadline, but if they aren't competitive in standings will they actually grab a bat or 2?

That's what's worrying me also, what a slow offseason.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 11:00 pmThey need to grab bats BEFORE V Day! I saw something on Twitter about pitchers and catchers reporting next month, shocked me how slow things have been.. they need to get things taken care of soon..

Thanks D! You too brother. YES! Bring it home Huskies! What a season!D-train wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 10:39 pmAgree. Maybe vote based on what you think they will do. Happy new year brother!seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 10:31 pmToo early yet for me to vote.
IF all major moves are done = yikes 80 wins.
IF we get a couple of decent bats = with this pitching staff 90 plus wins is totally doable.
How about those Dawgs??? Woof!!!
