Yeah not going to do it now so you are safe but will next season.Michael K. wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 4:46 pmAssigning points is based on games played. No option but to have a big point total in the regular season. Again, I am confused why it matters? It's not like you are competing against others that get the option of assigning more points. Seems odd that during the regular season you don't have to assign big points to close games but come playoff time it would then be required. But, again, would it really matter? Haven't the last two weeks been separated by like a point or two? The number of games predicted wouldn't matter.
Imagine winning the regular season by 15 points, and then being totally even during the playoffs, then losing the overall because the Super Bowl was worth sixteen points and you lost on a missed last second FG? If the points are rolling up every week, including the playoffs? Changing the format seems odd.

Doesn't change the scenario. Nor does it change my question of why else it matters? If you are looking at winning the week? Everyone has the same options to assign points. If you are talking about winning the overall? Again, I realize it won't affect me this year, but should it have? I won the regular season by like 30 points or so. I think my question is valid. Should you be able to lose a fifteen-point overall lead because the Super Bowl is worth sixteen points for some crazy reason?

If there are regular season games worth 16 points the SB being worth 16 points isn't remotely crazy to me.Michael K. wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 4:54 pmDoesn't change the scenario. March Madness ALWAYS have points escalating as the Tourney progresses. Like 1 point for the first round 2 points for the second, 4 points for the sweet 16, 8 points for the great 8, 16 for the final four etc...

You are in a March Maddness pool where you pick games each round individually and not at the beginning? Interesting.
The reason March Madness advances points is you are rewarded for having your prediction still alive. Lose your Final Four team in round one? Yeah, big hit. Predict one early upset? Which SHOULD be worth more? Nope, one point. Two completely different strategies. Not to mention, again, March Madness is one single pool. I don't know many March Madness pools that have a entire season's worth of predictions that you could then lose because your NC lost in round one. Apples and Oranges here.

Please Sweet Jesus, not the Chiefs or the Whiners in the SB.

That is exactly what anyone that wants our HC sitch resolved ASAP should want....
I picked the opposite of that.
