Ones fun…..Let’s take two. Small ball is dead in Seattle since Servais obviously can’t figure out how to advance a runner

Absolutely. Julio should have bought him about 100 kegs for bailing his choking ass out. lolCoeurd’Alene J wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 12:56 pmGlad you stayed up for that fine finish. So it's Haggerty up and Clase down
Re: Can LaPiedra be brave 4-30 gamethread
Look, I am not a batting expert. I have never played in the majors. I have never came in second in a home run derby, nor won a ROY award.
So take this shit for what it's worth - armchair managing from someone who has no damned right to manage a little league game.
But from where I sit, Julio's swing is awful and his plate discipline is nonexistent. He swings so hard at every pitch that he literally falls over home plate. It's like he's swinging for the fences on every pitch. We don't need a homerun, every AB - just get on base or drive the leadoff guy in. It looks to me like it's homerun, or nothing for him.
We've played 20 games, and he's had 30 hits and 37 strikeouts! It seems like he's up there hacking at everything. Slow it down. Make the pitcher work. Get a feel for his pitches. Get on base and steal second - that's what he should be doing. IMHO.
JRod is too good a player to be batting .265 with 37 strikeouts by the 1st of May. I hope he dials it in soon - we need him to be better than he is right now.
That said - Boo-ya to beating the Braves last night. What a game. Go, M's!

Remember when everyone was so excited that the first female MLB P2P announcer was hired and we heard how great she was.
This call is something else! DEI is a hell of a drug... This one is in the Outfield. The score has changed "DRASTICALLY" from 0-0 to 1-0.
Holy shit, can't make it up.

Not sure it's DEI, but certainly amusing.
These days everything has to be a "life altering" event.
I get yelled at by my wife when J-Rod catches a lazy fly ball and celebrates. Why? Because I yell at the TV and R-Rod celebrating an extremely minor event.....and because a intermural girls softball outfielder could have done it (Shout out to Coach Leach).
So let's not celebrate the little things and save the celebration for the epic events.
