The US actually only lost 2 ships during Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona and the USS Oklahoma. The other 17 ships were damaged but they all returned to action within 7-8 months. So, the Germans only had to sink 3 to make it a true statement.D-train wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 8:26 pmHad lunch with the neighbors today and the guy is a Pilot boat captain. Said he was a part of a Treasure hunting operation off the coast of Cape Cod for a ship that was sunk by a German U Boat. It was full of hundreds of million/Billion now of jewels and gold and other valuables.
I thought the guy was full of shit. There were no German U boats that came all the way across the Atlantic. So I thought. Did you guys know this. I usually know my history but this is the first I have EVER heard of it.
