Dude is hitting .211 with a 29%K rate. He will fit right in.
Re: M's trade for Randy Arozarena
He does have a .919 OPS since June 1st with a .290 avg in that time.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 5:20 amDude is hitting .211 with a 29%K rate. He will fit right in.

Let’s do Jazz, Vlad and Rooker to round it out and I’ll pop a dozen tequila shots and call it a night.

Aidan Smith is performing better than Peete, tho he's an OF not SS/3B. So maybe rethink what you know. Smith .284/.402/.470 9HR 42 RBI 28 SB over 296 ABsSeattle or Bust wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 4:56 amOh wtf? Nvm... great deal lol.
Randy has been hot... OPS over .900 over June and July.
Peete is at .270/.346/.377 2 HR 41 RBI 24 SB
Randy is also under control for 2.5. Next 2 Arb years set to get real expensive. Ms are spending $$ here

Yet Peete is the higher rated prospect. As long as it wasn't anyone near the top of our top 10... I don't care. Take them.Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 5:48 amAidan Smith is performing better than Peete, tho he's an OF not SS/3B. So maybe rethink what you know. Only thing that frustrates me here...
Tampa is playing good ball and finds themselves 1 game over .500...
That tells me Randy could have been had a week ago before we got our asses kicked by 2 terrible baseball teams. Especially for that mediocre cost.
You're telling me Jerry couldn't have made this deal 7 days ago?

You'd think so, but,,,. I mean you hear about all these scouts and going to games and watching players across Rookie ball, A, A+, AA, AAA, MLB. ANd you could have 5 -6 teams offers as finals and getting the 'winning bid". The process could take as negotiations take part and players get added, injured, replaced, etc.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 6:14 amOnly thing that frustrates me here...

Re: M's trade for Randy Arozarena
There's always the possibility that Arozarena has hit the wall, but as has been pointed out, he's been hot for 2 months after a horrible start so hopefully he's still a .250/20-25 HR type of player.
We'd better still be going after Guerrero and Chisholm, or something similar. We've got a starting rotation with zero holes this season and can't just bank on that. We have to take desperate measures or we're going to miss our window. I mean, the fans are actually booing this team.

I think both players have top 100 potential, but they get 2 1/2 years of a moto bat. I like it. He’ll probably suck though
