if they can't beat the Cowboys on the road what difference would it make, being at home makes them a SB champion? ...
We've been to three Super Bowls. Never played a road playoff game in any of those years. Last night could be a killer. Man, what a disappointment that was.
Your expectations, like most people here, were incongruous with all the signs leading up to this game. This one had Rams victory written all over it.

Yeah, I was hoping for the best but wasn't surprised. Same two teams that played earlier in the season that we needed a missed FG to win.

come on, the Rams are the defending NFC champions, they are not just some shit team, they have their pride and their backs against the wall. For whatever reason, the Hawks didn't match their intensity, maybe it will wake them up.

It isn't so much that the Hawks lost, its the lack of effort, that was a meaningful game for the Rams, that was for the season, the playoffs have started for them. The Hawks seem to be on autopilot

The intensity, the urgency, the focus, the energy. It was all there all over again. And once again, Weddle and his teammates translated that next-level intensity into another well-rounded outing and their eighth victory of the season.

That was a season-saving performance for an L.A. squad that has struggled to regain the form that carried it to the Super Bowl last year.

It remains to be seen whether the Rams can win their three remaining games and/or get help from the opponents of the Vikings and punch their postseason ticket. But on Sunday night — which was all that mattered for the time being — they took care of business.
why would anybody expect them to just roll over?

Intensity was a big part of it, but the coaches did a lousy job of preparing for this game. Millen was all over that.

isn't that preparation?...thought that was what PC was famous for, bringing a team home in the stretch drive

that sounded like you were separating the coaching preparation and the intensity, to me its all in the same. If you mean they had a poor game plan, I don't know. To me the key was a lack of intensity, and i put that on the coaching

These are grown men. They've got to be able to motivate themselves. What Millen was talking about was the defense taking until the 2nd half to react to what the Rams were doing, and also the vanilla plays Seattle was running on offense. It's like the coaches took the week off and the players didn't care.
