Welp. I've been asking for this for a while now.

I'm glad I wont have to look at his smug face holding a fart in ass any longer.

Get fucked Scott. You won't be missed.
No shit man!!!
I'm in total agreement.

As with most of you I enjoy and respect Dan but he’s part of the current culture and what is needed is a radical change of culture. I’ve been involved in that kind of change where the color of the locker room was even changed. That is why Jerry needs to be non renewed at season’s end. If that doesn’t happen this is just lip service

It looks like Mariners ownership is transitioning into nostalgia mode again. Dan Wilson as manager and now rumors that Edgar will be a coach too.

If this isn't just temporary this is bad news. I'd be shocked if Dan Wilson is much different than Servais. And great hitters don't necessarily make good hitting coaches. The last time Edgar was hitting coach offense had a little bump for a few days and then went right back in the toilet.

Get ready for endless clips of 1995 and 2001...

Edgar was the hitting coach from mid 2015 to 2018.

The '15-'18 offenses were the best offenses the M's had since the very early 2000's.

The 2015 M's put up a .773 OPS in the 2nd half after his hiring.

If Scott is out so should the hitting coaches and 3rd base and bullpen coach.

If we aren't shuffling players too much we'll be fine. Servais' over-platooning and treating players like they're children will not be missed. My household has been calling for him to get fired for years, tired of him spotlighting AAA guys and never having a consistent, rational, or reliable lineup.

So far, neither ESPN or the MLB (Mariners site) is reporting that SS is out.

So maybe the longer it goes without the official announcement the more victims and possible cull? They will have to tell inform those that they are binning before telling the world.

Mike Vorel:
“We were starved to get playoff baseball here. We got it here,” said Servais, the longtime catcher, who had just concluded his seventh season in Seattle. “Now we need to take the next step to improve our club in any way we can. We’re still behind the Astros. They won the division, and I’ll keep saying it: the World Series is going to go through Houston, and you have to beat them. So we have to get better in certain areas, and certainly we will address that this offseason.

“But from the fan base to ownership to front office to the players, coaches, manager, everybody, we want to get back here. We will be back here. There’s no question in my mind.”

Now, imagine telling one of the 47,690 fans inside T-Mobile Park on Oct. 15, 2022, about the nearly two seasons since — the parade of underperforming veterans disguised as key additions, the 54% comment that encapsulated a fan base’s frustrations, the historic string of strikeouts, the squandered quality starts, the dreaded plea for “payroll flexibility,” the 10-game lead that disintegrated in 24 games, the gallons of goodwill unceremoniously spilled into Puget Sound.

The reported firing of Scott Servais Thursday.

If you told them that story, they’d never believe it.

They must have posted it minutes after I posted here.
