And that was from the pre-season poll.

Tucson is literally a HOT destination. lolSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:07 pmSo what made Tucson such a hot destination? UW just played in the NC game and has the sons of the two most recognizable coaching names in the NFL as coordinators, but nobody wanted to come here?

Like Michael has said these preseason and early season polls are meaningless.Walla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:34 pmUW is rated at 32 in the AP.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 6:36 pmJust noticed Arizona is ranked 21st in the nation. How the hell did they manage that after losing a head coach and several key players to UW (which isn't even top 50)?

I totally agree, but Sibelius said they were outside the top 50, which isn't the case.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 10:49 pmLike Michael has said these preseason and early season polls are meaningless.Walla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:34 pmUW is rated at 32 in the AP.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 6:36 pmJust noticed Arizona is ranked 21st in the nation. I don't think any poll should come out until after week 3.

Yep, at the earliest. What was Florida State before taking a dump in National TV yesterday?Walla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 2:09 pm

I would like to point out that Rutgers is still not getting any votes.

That was awesome!!
FSU at 10 was a pity placement based on them missing the playoffs last year.

Chopped through it?Despite the arrow pointing in two different directions in two different ESPN models, the Scarlet Knights kept the same average position across five ranking services this week. After holding an average spot of 46.8 last week, Rutgers heads into its second game, a Saturday showdown with Akron, in the same exact spot with an average of 46.4.
“I thought our guys, as I mentioned Thursday night, they chopped through the game,” said Rutgers coach Greg Schiano on Monday, whose team led 17-7 at the half. “It wasn’t smooth. They just kept chopping through it and ultimately succeeded. Now we are headed on to the Akron season and everything we got will be poured into this season and see where it leaves us.”
