Thursday Night Football Thread

Post by maoling » Fri Sep 13, 2024 2:07 am

Jeezus. Halftime and the 'Fins look like shit. Kind of reminds me of a Seattle team that starts like this. I hope Miami gets pummeled so bad in the second half that when they come to Seattle soon, they are like little baby Flippers waiting to be clubbed. *

*No baby dolphin were actually harmed in the transmission of this post. We all like baby dolphin.

I was hoping the idiot Mariners would get a lead early, then dial up the Thursday night game.
The most annoying thing about streaming games is that I can't quickly flip back and forth between other channels.

Yup, and the fact you can't record them -- and they make you be an Amazon Prime Bitch just to watch the game. We've always had Amazon Prime, but they did the same shit with ROOT and Peacock. It's bullshit and I hate getting hosed like that to watch games in your own house.

It's all leading to something that will be very similar to cable/satellite.
Comcast, dish, etc, will start offering streaming package deals, so you can have Disney, Netflix, etc all in one convenient location, probably using dvr hardware, with live streaming content as part of the regular channel guide.

I spent over $700 so far to watch about 20 Hawk and Husky games. I thought I would need Fubo because Comcast doesn't have BIG10 due to a dispute. Just found out from the homeowner that Comcast isn't even available here so I need Spectrum. Spectrum has the Big 10 so if I don't get a partial refund I paid $314 to watch one non conference game. Just kill me.

Oh and I just got scammed $6k by a greasy moving company. Estimate was $5300 and the final bill was $11300. Said we had more stuff than we said we did. The make this proclamation when it is already loaded on the truck and I have already paid $3k down so nothing we can do.

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear this. What a load of shit.

And you'll have to forgive me... I must have missed something. When did you move?

There was still time to witness the end to Tua's career.
