My problem is understanding grading this way in the first place. This need to rank everything. This guy had the best game, that guy the second best, the guy with the worst game. Sure, players are evaluated, coaches study film. But for me i think it be approached differently. It be a written evaluation, not a number.

So Let's say the Titans plan was to neutralize Sweat, they succeeded at it. The problem is they lost the game. So does that mean Sweat had a bad game or a good game? A 54 to me indicates bad, but on the other hand, I'm not giving him a 70 because I can't say he had a good game either.

If you were to ask Sweat I'd bet he say he had a bad game. I say this because I can find games from last season where the tactic worked. Teams could take him out of the game and win, afterwards Sweat would say it was on him. He needed to do a better job of getting to the QB. It really seems to turn on who wins the game.
