I think Moncada will want a place where he will get to play every day.
Another Victor Robles but at 3B this off season?

The 3B market is so weak right now.
Might as well take a chance on a guy like Moncada when the fallback is Dylan Moore who isn't far behind Bregman who probably gets $25M/yr.
I think I'd prefer they look for a young Haniger/Raley type at any vacancy that isn't filled by a Juan Soto or Brent Rooker.
Everyone else that's available seems overrated or overpaid.
Plus, Dipoto has much better luck on those types of moves.

I think the Mariners think that guy is Dom Canzone.bpj wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 3:09 amThe 3B market is so weak right now.

I thought that trade made no sense at the time it was made.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 2:09 amJesus Christ Geno at 3.7 WAR. Jerry is such a dumb fuck.bpj wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 3:09 amThe 3B market is so weak right now.

Dylan Moore has been a 3.0 WAR-per-600-plate-appearances player this season compared to Geno at 3.5
And that's with T-Mobile bending him over without lube.
If they would add Rooker to DH and Vlad Jr. at 1B, this would be a playoff level offense.
They need to put those offense-first positions like 1B, DH and COF to use by filling them with the best bats available, and stop getting cute with the platoon guys and "under the radar" guys that only the Mariners can see the value in (which never materializes).
Not many worthwhile 3B's available.
