Mayor Eric Adams indicted in New York City

He just another corrupt politician, or another example of the Biden regime strong arming those who oppose them?

I don't mind seeing the left eat their own. But odd that they go after him once he changes his tune on immigration.

I'll probably get rocks thrown at me for saying this, but I think the indictment of Adams supports that idea that the legal system can be fair. He is alleged to have committed what seem to be serious offenses as an elected official. It doesn't matter what party he is associated with. A crime is a crime.

I also think it took a long time to build this case, so the idea (I have read this elsewhere) that Adams is being singled out for going against Biden's immigration failures is a bit of a stretch IMO.

'People do this all the time' says Eric Adams over bribery and corruption charges

Eric Adams suggests he is being targeted by Biden administration

Eric Adams has implied that the criminal indictment against him is a result of his criticism of the Biden administration’s handling of the migrant crisis.

The Democrat became the first sitting New York Mayor to be federally indicted on Wednesday, almost a year after his phones were seized as part of an investigation into illegal foreign donations.

Responding to the charges, Mr Adams suggested the investigation was the result of the Biden administration unfairly targeting him because of his criticism of the White House for failing to help the city cope with the influx of immigrants crossing the US southern border.

Interesting article.

The article says the investigation began in 2021. Adams started criticizing the Biden administration in ... ?

Whether ir not he did anything wrong, he will have his day in court. He is presumed innocent. Meanwhile, he presumes that people are targeting him. The last refuge of a scoundrel.

There's that
Top staff in North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson’s (R) government office will be stepping down next week, multiple outlets reported on Wednesday, increasing the number of aides parting ways with the state’s GOP gubernatorial candidate following CNN’s explosive report published last week.

Robinson’s office chief of staff Brian LiVecchi, policy director Jonathan Harris, director of communications John Wesley Waugh and director of government affairs Nathan Lewis will resign on Oct. 1. LiVecchi confirmed the resignations to The New York Times, and WRAL was the first to report on them.

It's funny as hell... comments on a porno site? Nothing like injecting a little humor in a political race.

His position now with the press, I bet he is tired of it.
"Quite frankly, I am sick of it and every time I get in front of you... you need to refocus yourself on the issues,"
Brings back memories of Wilbur Mills and Fanne Fox, the Argentine firecracker. Of course that was the democrats kicking out the democrat, like they did with Al Franken. That to me, by the way could have been where they screwed up. Al might have been the foil to Donald rather than Hillary or Biden. But yeah, they got their panties in a bind

A friend sent me this list of Democrats who have been indicted by the Feds (and in some cases, arrested) during the Biden administration. "Robert Menendez (former NJ Senator), T.J. Cox (former representative from California), Henry Cuellar (Congressman from Texas), Andrew Gillum (former mayor of Tallahassee), Michael J. Madigan (Illinois state representative), Hunter Biden (you know), and now Eric Adams. It sure looks like this is a politicized justice Department going after its political enemies!"
