So, you think it would be less money just buying two or three single game tickets than it would be keeping the season tickets you have and selling five of them and going to three? I am not sure that's the case. You are telling people how to spend their money. I have no idea, but my guess is if I have 8 season tickets, and I sell five of them? It's more money in my pocket than if I let the tickets go and just buy three singles.
I used to go to 2-3 games a year for free and then would have parties at my house for the other 5-6 games with a couple dozen friends, 5-6 of whom were named Benjamin that hung out in my wallet the whole game....Great food and drink at as MK mentioned no lines for anything. Bathroom 7 steps away and best of all no 1.5 hour round trip commute.

btw you can't control who buys your tickets. If I could have mandated WA area codes or addresses, I would have.

The math probably does change from going to one, two or three games, but fuck!!!!!!
I'm not talking about the fucking money. god damn. I'm talking about not letting 40% or more of the stadium
being taken up by the opposing team's fans!
And, that happens BECAUSE of money. It doesn't make financial sense to give up your tickets when you can probably sell five or six games for more than you paid for all of them. People are saying give up your tickets if you don't want to go to every game. I am simply pointing out how crippling on the pocket book that could be. We can all get pissed off about it, but I would never criticize someone for it.

1. Put a better product on the field
2. Stop gouging everyone on every little thing. Parking, hot dog and beer? I am shocked to do a little Google research and find this can be around $50. I've never even seen parking for that low, but I see online several rather inexpensive places to park. Maybe I just always park too close?

But, $50 before you even sit down, and that is if you only have one beer and one dog...or if you have a hotdog. We all know hotdogs aren't the most sold food item. And that is for one person. It's expensive to go, and then you get to watch what we saw last Sunday? Nah.
According to recent data, a hotdog at a Seattle Seahawks game at Lumen Field costs around $7.99.
Key points about the price:
Average cost:
This price places the Seahawks stadium among the more expensive for hot dogs in the NFL
Looks like beer is about ten bucks. Per ounce that puts us in the 20s for NFL.

"We have to win. We have to win, period," Macdonald said. "Opposing fans don't want to show up if we're consistently kicking butt and doing what we're supposed to. And our fans I think are doing a great job and they are sticking with us all the way through the end of the game and I know we are fighting and they are fighting with us. We have to do a better job of putting a product out there that they really want to root really hard for."

Consider that when Seahawks fans set the record for noise in 2013, the decibel level was 137.6. The team has shown the decibels this year during recent games and it barely climbs over 100 at key moments.

The Dolphins have seen an increase in their home field advantage over time while the Broncos have managed to maintain their edge better than most. Both the Dolphins and the Broncos have instituted penalties for season ticket holders who either sell their seats too often or sell their seats for a profit. Fans have had their tickets stripped or have not been allowed to renew.

I could see Jody doing this and I hope she does.

So, in your opinion, with the money it takes to not only have the tickets, but to go to games...if they do this, the fans that show up are going to be of the loud variety that screamed all game long? You can ignore the money part of it all you want, but they priced out those die hard fans that were taking Monday off from work because they couldn't talk!

Hopefully not - that's some BS really. As it was already said - people who pay to go to the games are already paying out a huge sum of money for the games and then get gouged at parking, a beer or two, etc. If other teams fans travel well then so be it - our fans travel pretty decently as well but you don't hear other stadiums/fans crying about that. The coach has it right - the team has to win, the team has to be the team you talked about during their SB runs. Its not right now, not by a long shot so you don't have Seattle fans wanting to spend whatever it takes to go to the games - they would rather watch from the comfort of their homes than pay 500-1000 to go to one game to watch an average team at best. The reality is Seattle fans pay to see winners - we don't pay to see garbage and waste our time - this is one simple fact that Mariner owners have never figured out.

Except they kind of have figured it out. They have figured out that they can make money if they just stay mostly competitive. It's crazy, and something I have bitched about for a long time. How can they continue to be a tight ass organization, and still make the kind of money they make? Jerry Dipoto can basically go on TV and tell us we are stupid and he is smart, and they will sell tickets the next year.

The Super Bowl year my sister and I took my dad to the 49er game for his birthday. It was the night game that was delayed due to lightening. Another of my buddies has season tickets, and his good friend is a Niner fan. They told me they were going to go to the game down in SF. Said it was actually cheaper to fly down there and stay in a room than it was to buy tickets, food, beer and gas in Seattle! Unbelievable. They made a shit ton of money off fans for many years, and now want to bitch because they product they put on the field isn't worth that price tag and fans are selling their tickets!

I loved MacDonald's response. He is damn right. Start winning and the die hards will most likely come back.

I don't know if it's diehards as much as it's community, same fans sitting together week after week.

I don't see why fans should be able to sell their tickets for a profit

We have been flying south for Hawks @ AZ for years due to much cheaper tickets, sun and pool time, great party atmosphere and usually about 30-40 percent of the fans are 12's - I like don't love Lumen field once you leave 100 level seating and not really into $400 tickets anymore-
