Man, only the second thread of the season, how the shine has worn off this new toy. That's what happens when one expansion team is in Cup contention virtually every single season and the other in year four is still just a .500 team.
I mean, look at this (see attachment below). The Golden Showers just keep right on going. Meanwhile, the Kraken had to get hot just to get to 11-11, although maybe they can sustain it and squeak into the playoffs.
They're a decent team but still have no star players. In the ESPN top 100, Brandon Montour came in at #75 and Vince Dunn came in at #94, and that's it.
They drafted who were regarded to be the top forwards in their draft classes in Matty Beniers and Shane Wright, yet Beniers looks like he's going to top out as a 50-point player and Wright is coming along slowly. Meanwhile, in between the Blackheads drafted Conor Bedard who's younger and he's already a top player.
Oh well, it's about tonight and we play the Sucks who the boys have totally dominated. We've got front row, second level, center ice seats which weren't that costly. If the team had followed the Vegas blueprint we'd probably be in the Uecker seats. Hopefully the boys will knock the Sucks down and fart on their heads.

How was the experience? Looks like the game could have gone better, but at least you didn't have to watch Grubauer give up 7 goals to the Sharts.

We had a bit of a walk from where we parked at 6th and Bell downtown, but the arena is first-class and we had a good time even though it was probably their worst home game this season. Joey Daccord with the fifth-best save percentage in the league, the Sucks with the 31st-ranked offense so naturally they score five on Daccord. What the hell, man.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 5:03 amHow was the experience? Also, just saw that the top forward in the last draft (Macklin Celebri) at 18 has 13 points in his first 14 games for the Sharts. So we miss getting him or Bedard but get two guys who, Shane Wright's last three games notwithstanding, haven't produced as expected. Almost nothing is going right for this franchise.
