I'm not surprised to see them change their mind on possibly trading Castillo. It's the obvious move. Next year it'll be Gilbert or Kirby that goes.

They should lock up both now to a team friendly deal by buying out the Arb years.

I wonder how its going to work out, they've said they are probably going to move Devers from 3B but that pushes Casas off of 1B and it doesn't look like they have a 3B to replace him with. I'm just assuming Casas or Devers will be in the deal.

Sounds like it would make more sense to trade Devers and keep Casas. I could also be on board with an Abreu deal and then trading Arozarena to free up more.

Trading Devers is nothing like trying to trade Judge, Judge was worth 10.8 WAR last year, Devers was worth 3.7. If you can get similar production from Casas at 1B as Devers at 1B but for $29 million less why wouldn't you trade Devers and use that money to sign Bregman?
