Classic keyboard jockey stuff.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2024 3:05 amMy source is going to like 20 games last year and watching him up close.
All the guy does is goof off... before the game acting like a 12 year old playing little pranks like hitting people's hats off... jumping for high fives b/c he's short... At 1B, chumming it up with anyone and everyone he could while they're losing 8-2 and he's 0-4 with 3x weak grounders and a K.
That stuff is fine when you're performing. It's not fine when you're not.
He needed to put his f'n head down and get to work.
What bug crawled up your ass tonight? Did I say that I'm Ryan Divish or this is a random sports forum?
The guy sucks and is a class clown. Not getting many looks now is he? How often have the M's just flat out cut loose a player making next to no money who has tenure with the team over the years?
Nobody... you think that's purely about performance?

Yeah, pretty much. I think they wanted the roster spot. France is a one-tool player and that one tool wasn't working. Your theory could still have legs though, as a contributing factor that sort of accelerated the decision. But I think those work ethic observations would be more behind-the-scenes.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2024 3:41 amLOLGL_Storm wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2024 3:16 amYou don't have a source. Guardians making the move that an organization that can't (or won't) spend should be making.
Trading off the expiring contracts to restock the farm or fill other holes, then filling the vacancy.
Makes all the sense in the world.
On the other hand, the Mariners just ride out the contracts of guys like Haniger and Teoscar and get ZERO in return for them.

This is more or less the offseason I expected, though I think a Castillo deal could still happen.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2024 5:08 amSo much going on this off-season for the M's. I can see why this thread has reached 58 pages lol.

So, the D-Backs get Josh Naylor and Yanks get Goldschmidt. The dominoes keep falling and the mariners keep sitting around with their thumbs up their asses.
But we have a plan. A cunning plan. So cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.
Looking forward to another exciting February of dumpster diving, y’all.

Anything with real money is a no go. We have to trade salary to take on salary. The flexibility that dicrappo system really means he has flexibility to trade any salary.
