Ha-Seong Kim
He is a great defender. Good baserunner, they are saying it is in the 3 year range for 15 to 20 million. He was a 5.8 WAR guy in 2023. He hit for a 107 OPS+ 17 HR, 23 doubles, and 38/47 SB. I would still go after Lowe for 2B, Yandy for 1B, and use Kim at 3B. The last 3 years he has gone 106, 107, and 96 OPS+ .
The defense at SS in over 300 games, he is an 11 defensive runs saved per year guy.
At 2B and 3B he is an 18 defensive runs saved per year guy.
In 2024, Rojas has his best defensive season by far and was 9 runs above average at 3B.

LOL The guy that played in Korea last season will be lucky to put up a .650 OPS But at $5M a year he is right up their alley..GL_Storm wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 4:56 amWrong Kim. Re: M's have an offer on Kim!
I guess there are 3 to 5 teams who have offers on Kim.
I know I have said this before but just move Hanniger to the Whitesox with a prospect for a nobody.
If the M's have 20M, 5M goes to Kim: Just pack up Haniger and depending on the prospect you save 10-12-17.5M?
So even if you send 5M plus a prospect for 12.5M in salary relief you should be able to swing for Lowe and Yandy, and still have enough to go out and get a lefty BP stud in AJ Minter.

I'm gonna be relieved if he signs, it would be a start. Then on to third and first. Heck the deadline is Friday

There are questions about how his offense will translate, but he did hit .326 in the KBO in 2024. Given that the Mariners have struggled at second base since 2019, Kim represents a young player with upside and athleticism. His ability to make contact should help the Mariners strike out less,
