I'll be honest... all I read there is I'm not interested in fans having fun.

It's enjoyable to imagine possible free agent signings and trades even if they don't come true. Never in my plans do I imagine most or any of it will actually happen. It's to engage conversation and allow people to think of what players the M's could have possible interest in. It's to stir the pot.

I'll put the shoe on the other foot... I really have no respect for and get nothing out of the posters who show up and provide nothing but negativity or one liners that take one brain cell to produce.

This forum would be very boring if people didn't at least attempt to be creative.

And still the only forum poster to ever post a trade that actually ended up happening was Leadoff in the old Times Forum when he suggested Carlos Silva for Milton Bradley and it came to pass.

What I mean is that when guys come up with trade ideas, they mostly do their best to consider value from both sides of the transaction. Now, me personally, I don't see much point in coming up with these very specific fictional trade packages. But I do enjoy sort of looking around the league and thinking about which players could be trade targets.

The very specific ones are what crack me up, along with the free agent signings with very specific years and dollar amounts, which of course also never end up happening.

And then there's the rosterbating where we have the whole new lineup put together which shockingly isn't even close.to what we get on Opening Day.

Sorry guys, I want to see this team improve too and admittedly I'm unrealistic in that I think the franchise should spend a LOT more than they do, so I'm also guilty of delusions of grandeur in that respect.

Most people that blog, or have a podcast usually have at least 1 offseason plan. I think it is fun to plan out an offseason plan. Most of my ideas go after teams that are in sell mode: Chicago WS, TB Rays, BJs, Nats, Miami (Burger), A's, Reds, Cards, Cubs, etc. As targets that would take prospects, bad contracts, etc.

So specific prospects for specific players? You find laughable? You sound like a Jack ass. Your preference for the forum is basically: Hey guys, how about the M's trade some prospects for some players? Sounds great! How about we do that and sign a free agent for some money for some position on the team.

Hey David, You want to meet me at the game in some town sometime in some year for some sport and we will meet up somewhere in some stadium for a beer.
