Who had the best offseason plan?
Who had the best offseason plan?
I think I liked about everybody's plans better than what happened in reality.

Re: Who had the best offseason plan?
Gotta say - even though I didn't do it myself - in hindsight my plan was the best - turn off the internet/ignore any M's news until spring training...

Re: Who had the best offseason plan?
Who cares should be an option, gonna have to go with what happened
Re: Who had the best offseason plan?
The only good part about Dipoto's plan is they didn't let him waste any more on his steady supply of $5+ Million Dollar black-hole losers.
It probably will be his best offseason.
Although, from where I'm sitting we'd be better off with more guys like Ryan Bliss and Samad Taylor on the roster over guys like Haniger.
Can't just cut dead money of course, have to wallow in it first...

I would count Polanco as a black hole loser.bpj wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 5:26 pmThe only good part about Dipoto's plan is they didn't let him waste any more on his steady supply of $5+ Million Dollar black-hole losers.

I think the problem is if Dipoto had another $30/M to spend, it would be on 5 more Polanco's instead of one difference maker.
Re: Who had the best offseason plan?
I assume that ownership is relying on Edgar‘s leadership and continued strong starting pitching to keep them in contention.
It’s improbable that the starters will be as healthy as they were last year, however.
It would be hilarious if after an off-season where they did nothing, the team actually improved.

Woo missed significant time. I think Castillo missed a start or two as well.Hy Feiber wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 6:44 pmI assume that ownership is relying on Edgar‘s leadership and continued strong starting pitching to keep them in contention.

Re: Who had the best offseason plan?
I hate that bringing Polanco back was the only part of my plan that came true.
