Ben Williamson, Mckay saying the organization is really high on him. Maybe he's at 3rd this season
. “Our coaches love this player to death. Our analysts love this player. Our scouts love this player,” McKay said. “And recently he graded out in one of the industry sources … as arguably the best defensive infielder in Minor League Baseball. And whether he is or isn’t, he’s definitely in that conversation. High baseball IQ, tremendous competitor. He was a part of that championship team in Arkansas last year and is just a true professional.”
We'll see if he can hit upper level pitching. I hope they don't rush him. That kind of defensive ability takes a lot of pressure off the bat, but you still need something in the neighborhood of average hit and average power.
He is already 24 yo. 2 months older than Julio.

I could see them bringing Williamson up to utilize his defense and really not caring about offense, think Evan white. I can see the wheels spinning in dipoto's head. They've got Polanco as a short term fix. Later in the season they bring Williamson up. If he can give them superior defense, heck they can run with that for awhile. That's how they avoid spending on a pricey FA

4 HRs in 585 PAs. Almost Jack Perconte dearth of Power.
I think we need a Mariner third baseman from the days of yesteryear to compare him to. I'd go with Jamie Allen.

Drafted in the first Round in 1976 but decided to go to ASU instead???? Then got drafted in the 2nd round 3 years later. Total Bust. Yakima product.

Coached against him. He would pitch the first game of a double hitter and then play third or right in the second. Davis would yo yo him in to put out fires

Amazing that he got 323 plate appearances in his one and only MLB season and then never made it back to the show for a second season. That could well be a record.

i watched him at every home game at Arkansas last year and will agree 100% with his opinion. Ben was EASILY the best defender on the team -very, very exciting player. Good contact hitter but little to no power.
