Re: Thread for draft simulations:
So, if they end up trading DK, is it safe to say WR passes OL as the position most in need of upgrading? I would rank it like this: WR, OL, DT, CB, LB, Edge, TE, QB, S, RB

Wyman and Bob wondering if the fact that they have decided to hire 75 run game coaches and turn in the 80s Sooners has anything to do with DK’s decision. These coaches might not care about the WR position.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Mar 05, 2025 11:17 pmSo, if they end up trading DK, is it safe to say WR passes OL as the position most in need of upgrading? Re: Thread for draft simulations:
Sounds like Ernest Jones is listening to offers from other teams. If he signs elsewhere and DK gets traded JS might as well go into full rebuild mode.
Re: Thread for draft simulations:
100% agree. We are teetering at that point already. We are a good team, just not real good. And what does that get us? Another year of not going to the playoffs. How many years since we won a playoff game????? A middle of the league QB that wants to be paid like a top level QB.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 7:56 pmSounds like Ernest Jones is listening to offers from other teams. We are so far away from a super bowl level team. We aren't getting there with Geno, defense is solid but not great. Offense, well we will literally have 1 Real WR. An OK TE, most likely a little better OLine. Is this a Super Bowl Team? WR, OL, TE, LB, and pass rush holes. Lots to take care of in one off season.
John has had a long time to fix this, do we trust he will fix it in one off season?

Re: Thread for draft simulations:
So fail to retain the overrated Metcalf and the 61 PFF rated Jones and all hope is lost. It's interesting, two seasons ago the answer was to get rid of the dinosaur of a HC which they did. Now the answer is to get rid of everybody else. I think I'd give Mike an additional season before blowing up his team.
Re: Thread for draft simulations:
Kind of ironic, but a day before DK leaked his news of asking for trade, i ran a sim mock and landed T.Mac (aka WR 2 in this class) at 18.
Of course if that were to happen in real life, and assuming Hawks don't sign a top guy like Adams, Godwin, Diggs or Kupp then somebody would surely jump them for the ultimate Red Zone weapon.

Re: Thread for draft simulations:
At this point i'd take Dart with the 18th and then 2 WR's with the next 3 picks. Move on from Geno and do a mini-rebuild.
Re: Thread for draft simulations:
my best result yet - talk about restocking the cupboard! hit on nearly every need position, assuming Darnold gets signed as QB. add depth with extra picks from the 1st pick tradedowns. 2 receivers and 2 Tight Ends hedge against possible loss of DK or Fant. 2 boundary corners allow Spoon to play inside and push Riq. Ersery is insurance for Lucas or becomes your swing tackle, Ratledge replaces Laken. Conyers doubles as a FB. Burch is a stud when healthy, great value day 3, as is getting Grant at pick 40 - i've seen him going as high as 9 overall! add Darnold and a center in FA (Dalman or Kelly?) and you're in business.

We'll be lucky if we can get a 2.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 5:56 pm#4 overall pick for one year of DK?Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 2:48 pmWhy trade the 1.04 when you could just take Tet McMillan instead? Cheaper, and same "Mike Evans" body type as a WR1 makes way more sense.![]()

Re: Thread for draft simulations:

I tried to create a trade that got us a 2nd round pick we just got from the Steelers. So just assume we're still drafting at 18 here. The odds of getting both Bond and Jackson in the first 56 picks are slim to none.
But who knows, maybe we get creative and use a middle round pick to trade up into the top of half of the 2nd round to make it possible.
Jackson: Future star at guard. One of the most sure players in this draft.
Nolen: Mega athlete inside. Creates a 3-headed monster inside between he, Williams, Reed.
Bond: Ran a 4.29 in the combine. Underutilized WR at Texas with elite athletic traits who was not a favorite target of Ewers (who sucks) who apparently missed him open a lot.
Kennard: Keep building the trenches. Stellar athlete with an amazing motor. Led P4 with 11.5 sacks in '24.
Belton: More trenches. Large man who could play right tackle or move inside to guard. Moves very well for 6'7 330.
Nash: 1st team All American at SJSU. Former QB transitioned to wideout. Elite speed and hands. 1,400 yards and 16 TD's in '24.
Evans: Big body at TE with amazing hands and shielding ability. Not the fleetest of foot but is hard to bring down and he's a monster catching contested passes.
Frazier: UTSA kid. Stellar athlete. Riq Woolen 2.0.
Simon: Reliable starter at LB for the Buckeyes who lacks elite measurables but wouldn't be surprising if he ends up as a starter in the NFL.
Truss: Trenches.
