Best I can find is runners on 1st and less than 2 outs = 226 AB, 19 GIDP - so every 12 AB where there is DP opportunity he manages to take it.

Back in the day, there would not have been a third pitch to hit. (Maybe not even a second one.) Not saying I like that style, but I doubt there were 3 HRs on consecutive pitches back in the 1980s.
