LOL, you beat me to it. But really, was there ever a doubt? They don't spend very much, and the majority of what they spend it on is trash. I just don't get how there isn't more made of this. Look at what they are paying or have paid for trash like Garver, Solano, Hanniger and even Polanco? Arozarena isn't exactly an All Star. So, if you aren't going to spend big, but when you do spend it's for dogshit?

In the last two years, only the Rays, Padres, Rockies, Twins and Marlins have spent less in FA than the Mariners and their $33 m. The Dodgers and Mets have spent over a billion!

Most of what I get, I get from listening to Brock and Salk before I head to work. I wish I could find something written about this one, but Salk, of all people, really painted a bleak picture of HOW they have spent the little money they have spent.

Brock and Salk talked through how they liked the at bats that they watched from the Mariners against the Angels, but a lot of it reverted against the Diamondbacks. They then discuss the amount of money the Mariners have spent the last two years on players outside the organization compared to the value that they've received from them thus far. In Blue 88, Brock dives in on Jaire Alexander, a common opinion on what the Seahawks offense could be and how UW and USC have stepped up to go toe to toe with Oregon.

It wasn't pretty. It makes me wonder sometimes if Ownership doesn't limit his spending because he is an idiot in how he spends? If we are going to be just good enough anyway, AND be profitable....why let this dumb ass spend more? BUT, if that is the case, then fuck them even more for not firing his ass when they had the chance.

Pete Alonso, who was in our pocket, is worth more than half of that right there when you'd also be subtracting Tellez/Solano. The other one might have been Hyesong Kim from Korea who has surprised everyone by hitting .382 in his first 30 games with the Dodgers.
