Astros are really toast now.
Astros are really toast now.

They have two real starting pitchers, and after losing Bregman and Tucker, and with Alvarez injured, Pena too, they now have a AAA team.
Mariners are truly blessed.
Just a thought, the fact that the manager didn’t start this series with his two best pitchers, Valdez and Brown, is stunning.

Re: Astros are really toast now.
With anything like last year’s team, Houston would be 20 games over 500 at least.

Yeah they sure looked like toast today. Their AAA lineup took our "ace" to the woodshed.

Seems odd timing to post this considering the M's got curb stomped by this AAA roster today.

Re: Astros are really toast now.
The Astros should have a worse record on paper.
But they are the luckiest sons of bitches I swear.
Yesterday is the perfect example.
WE were the better team and WE gave that game away.
The Mariners have played well over the last month or so.
Problem is everytime we won, Houston won also!
Yesterday was a great opportunity to gain real ground on them.
AND we screwed the pooch.
I think it was David that said it. They just wanted it more.
For me that is just unacceptable. Our coaching doesn't have the team mentally prepared.
Look in the dugout every once in awhile. It's shits and giggles down there.
That walkoff celebration shows their maturity level also imho.
Celebrate o.k. great but not like a bunch of monkeys on crack.

Let's hope this doesn't turn out to be the biggest jinx thread title in this forum's history because that's the feeling i'm starting to get here...

Re: Astros are really toast now.
My prediction was rational, based on the fact that the Astros have 2 healthy real starting pitchers, five starters on the injured list, and 4 starting position players the same.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 2:29 amYeah they sure looked like toast today. How in the hell they are 15 games over .500 is stunning.
Someone in management is doing a great job keeping this bunch together.

Houston kicking the shit out of Arizona...
Re: Astros are really toast now.
Their past crowd is history.
This current management
group is sound.
They should be 10 games under .500.
