Maybe we should let Logan go only five innings so that Melissa doesn't show up in the sixth again.

Not liking Young on the bench. Polanco should get the day off looked bad yesterday.

FWIW Jorge Polanco is on pace to earn $9.5 million this season working off his base salary of $7 million plus incentives.

According to Cot's Baseball Contracts, Polanco receives performance bonuses of $250,000 each for 250 and 300 plate appearances and performance bonuses of $500,000 each for 350, 400, 450, 500, 550 and 600 plate appearances:

Cot's has a slight discrepancy.

Polanco has made 360 plate appearances to date and FanGraphs projects another 150 plate appearances this season.

Polonco should be playing against all righties. He’s a much better hitter as a lefty. I’m sure he’d DH, but cal does need some rest from catching

His player option will vest for $8M but I doubt he takes it.

Cal once again swinging at pitches well out of the strike zone, and our 1-2-3 hitters as always completely unprepared. We almost never get a good first AB in the first inning from our 1-2-3 guys.
