Just posted this in the game thread but while wev'e been focusing on the Astros, the rest of the leaders have been coming back to the pack as well. Win tonight and they are only 2 back of Detroit for the number 2 seed which would mean a first round bye and home field advantage in the ALDS.

The Tigers are trash. They might just fuck around and lose the Central title. Indians now just 5 back. Were like 14 back in early July before we went into Detroit and swept their ass

6th April - the Mariners were 3-7 and already 5 GB to Texas.
23rd May - Mariners led by 3.5 games, their biggest lead of the season
1st to 6th July - Astros held a 7 game lead, their biggest of the season.
9th August - Lead is 0.5 games

Houston plays Boston this week. Mariners just need to keep winning and things will fall in to place. Mariners have 2 series left against contending teams in the AL I think. Houston has about 8. Mariners do play some tough teams from the NL, but the other teams are going to beat themselves up if mariners can find ways to beat SS, Philly, NYM and then just take care of the teams out of the playoff race

The standings are so tight. Easily could grab one of the top 2 division winners. Easily could miss the post-season completely. I say easy in terms of games ahead. I think the Ms are gonna win a lot of games. Josh and Geno was such a massive upgrade.

It will be exciting if they just roll right through Baltimore, Mets and Philly.
