They need 105 losses to set a franchise record. Totally doable!

Hey, Music Man;
Before the season started, knowing it was the step back, re-imagination year (or 2) I still didn't believe it possible to do as bad as 100 losses.

Then the season started, the exploration and drilling for Mariner oil led to the gusher and most of us, myself included, thought we had struck it rich prematurely. I knew then that hope beyond hope a 95-100 win season was impossible not to realize.

pssssst, total deflation. Cap the well, it went dry, it was false. Never seen anything like it. Very possible to lose 100+ games this year.
The Seattle Mariners played a very dirty, cruel joke on us.

That's one of the reasons the forum is so barren. The M's set us up, flirted with us, gave us a taste of the promised land, tickled our fandom erogenous zone and then totally bitch-slapped us.

We can't even cry uncle.

They have been consistent.... heading for that low sixty win season I predicted.... they do some form of this brutal baseball nearly every season.... (except during the tenure of Mr. Lou Pinella)..... and every fucking year we swallow it... hook, line, and sinker. This year, I said "shame on me" for even venturing to believe.... I've been spending most of my time watching the Cubbies in order to remember what good baseball looks like.
