Dilly … Really
Dilly … Really
3 for 74 and under .050 since May. That’s beyond a slump. It’s a death knell. Get your head out of your ass Jerry and let your brain get some oxygen. Felix could beat those numbers swinging with his eyes closed.
Re: Dilly … Really
If they don't want to release him, just put him on the 60 and call him done for the year. He's a free agent at the end of the season anyway, so it's on him what happens after that.
Re: Dilly … Really
Send him down and replace him with Haniger. Seriously. Could it be any worse? And Mitch is still collecting a paycheck.
Re: Dilly … Really
I would like to see Rivas brought up. He is a switch hitter with speed who can give Crawford some rest.

apparently they value Moore's defense to the extent they aren't willing to replace it with Rivas.
Re: Dilly … Really
At least he’s bad at defense though.

Rivas is probably better than Dilly on skills at this point. Younger, faster 23/26 SB, positions played, SH, He'd be confident hitting .307 .463 .493 .956 in Tacoma and over a 100 OPS+ in Seattle. butDonn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 6:03 pmapparently they value Moore's defense to the extent they aren't willing to replace it with Rivas.

f you wanted a base thief:
Samad Taylor .310 .387 .488 .875 in Tacoma with 38/45 on the year.
Dilly has been a good player but is a negative at this point.

Re: Dilly … Really
sure, but for however they judge their defense, Moore's combination of abilities, they must still favor it, what else is there

Re: Dilly … Really
I don't think it has anything to do with Garver or Moore's play.
I think Dan wants veterans in the clubhouse, even if they don't perform.
Might be insane, but perhaps they bring some leadership to the clubhouse that would be absent as soon as you cut them loose.
Imagine players having to look at Julio to lead them... yeesh.

Time to get really excited facing 3 lefties in a row starting with lefty killer Springs so 3 straight games of Garve and Moore. Fucking sucks can't bring up a righty bat for this stretch.
