There's nothing that will convince me that rolling out this same basic lineup every day is a good thing. It's not like the comfort and predictability of having the same lineup is leading to better results than they were getting back when they occasionally mixed things up.
It's a great lineup if these guys hit the way they're supposed to hit. If we had these nine guys for the entire course of the season, with Suarez batting .250 and hitting over 40 dingers and Naylor hitting close to .300 with 20-30 dingers, the other seven guys maintaining pace on what they were doing, even with our pitching that's a 95-win team. On paper opponents would be uh oh, we're in trouble today. They've just got so many guys going cold right now and doing the wrong thing at the wrong time.
