this has absolutely nothing to do with how you view him. Locklear had what, 70 games in AAA before his ML callup. I don't see how they park Colt there all season next year as part of his development

I think he should spend next year at AA. I'd rather he wasn't a phone call away at Tacoma.

I am hearing that Tacoma needs an INFer. This might be a nothing burger.

The dude is only 19 and has only had 140 AB's in AA. His numbers were respectable for a 19 year old but certainly not eye popping. (3 HR and a .790 OPS) I wouldn't read too much into this. This is just an opportunity to get him a few more AB's since Arkansas' season is over. I'd expect him to start next season in AA. If he tears it up next year and there is a need at the MLB level he could get a cup of coffee but 2027 is more realistic.

Yeah, that's the reason why I don't get why the Prospect ranking services and Scouts are so high on him. They act like he is Wade Boggs or George Brett but his production has been good but not great.

I think it's mainly the position he plays and his age relative to the leagues he's been assigned to. There's also a new consensus this year that he is an actual shortstop, as opposed to a high school shortstop that eventually moves off the position and down the defensive spectrum. That adds a lot of value to a potential career.

Yep and now he has proved that he is at least mid power. I think he will hit 20-25 in the PCL next season if that is where he plays...How worried are you about Laz.
