Baseball Reference now has the Mariners tied with the second-highest percentage chance of winning the World Series (and the best chance among American League clubs):

FanGraphs gives the Mariners the highest-percentage chance of all MLB teams:

3-0 against the worst team in the league then rest some guys. I would. How much rest is too much though.
The will have 5 days rest after the season. That should be plenty.
Obviously you are optimistic about getting the 2nd seed. I'm not taking anything for granted, but it's looking good for staying ahead of Detroit given their recent collapse and the difficulty of their remaining schedule (3 each against Cleveland the Red Sox).

95% chance is good enough for me. If I had a 95% chance to win $300M in power ball and the other 5% I would die instantly I would do it in a heart beat. lol

Reminds me of the question on my golf forum: If you can make a hole-in-one in 24 hours you win $1 million. Otherwise you go to prison for a year.

Mariners win! We're HEROES!!!

If it wasn't for Vargas, that would have been a total three-game annihilation. Kind of was anyway, wasn't it?
I know! That's what I was thinking when they were up 6-0. Were we going to sweep them by shutting them out in all 3 games and we nearly did!

Someone posted that gif of Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) in Dumb and Dumber ripping the art out of the chef and I thought that was apropos.

so is anybody going to view that season ending series against the dodgers as a precursor to a WS matchup
I wouldn’t, I expect both to be clinched and starters and such get rest
IT's not even that, the Dodgers aren't any good. Brewers and Phillies both more dangerous
I don't know if I am sleeping on the Dodgers, they now have Ohtani set to pitch game one of the NLDS if they want

I guess Roberts confirmed it
"I know that Sho will revel being in that environment and pitching in Game 1," president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said. "I think we have a really talented rotation. I think it's going to be a strength for us if we go forward."
