I’m banking on full houses with electricity oozing from the fans. Hopefully that puts us over the top. I was watching Naylor do his “thing” and thought back to Yogi Berra in my youth. He didn’t do anything super except beat you. What a pick up.

Do you work that hard at being a Debbie downer or is it come naturally?
Come on, that's been their m.o. all season. What other team in MLB scores 7 runs in one inning and then gets one hit over the following seven?
Who cares the MO is making them one of the best in League. I don’t give a shit if they get 7 runs in one inning or one an inning, either way 7 runs will normally lead to a wi.
I wasn't complaining about the number of runs scored. That was one of the more extreme examples of what seems to be a pattern with this team which seems to indicate a tendency by this team's players to lose focus or intensity when they get ahead early in games. But if you enjoy watching 7 innings of your team doing jack diddly on offense that's your prerogative.

I think its a question of enjoying watching baseball in the first place, there is a reason it generally gets considered boring. I don't think there is anything particularly unusual in how the Mariners score runs. I believe its a Pareto principle deal, teams will tend to score 80% of their runs in 20% of their innings.

Yeah i'm aware of all that. But there's a reason people have this impression that the offense is more bipolar than in previous seasons and compared to other teams.

I am not interested in impressions, come up with some evidence

Since 1900, only two teams have managed to score in each of nine innings of a game. On June 1, 1923, the New York Giants did it against the Philadelphia Phillies, winning 22-8. On September 13, 1964, the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Chicago Cubs 15-2

Rod when you make Bruce seem normal you need to check yourself my friend. I love you all not in a gay way obviously.

With that type of pitching, Cal could hit 4 this series.
