It's my wife's birthday and we'll be whale watching in the San Juans on a zodiac boat.
I'm not getting divorced for game 1 of a series.
...Game 5?

You are a good man brother. If you don't see a whale and we win in walk off fashion it will be sad but you will still be married. Win Win.

interesting, nobhead doesn't seem as familiar to me, wanker is the accustomed brit term here in PI bars, they are rather similar in their imagery. Is American slang as endearing to brits as brit slang to Yanks?mostonmike wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 1:11 pmI prefer nobheadauroraave wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 12:52 pmHey pal, there is ALWAYS time for auto raving - don't be a bloody wanker!mostonmike wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 8:02 am

By ERA we have 3 of the top 35 relievers in MLB.
By WAR we have 2 of the top 13 relievers in MLB.
Mariners relievers had the 9th best ERA in MLB. Starters had the 13th best ERA in MLB. What's that tell you?
Overall, I dont think the Mariners have a very good team. Until you compare them to how bad the other teams really are.
This season was kind of sneaky because the team didn't seem like anything special. But, competition has decreased in the past few years imo.
Every team is having problems fielding a competent roster these days.
But not the bullpen? Seems like both starters and bullpen dealt with injuries.
