Is this real life?

Post by Captain 97 » Tue Oct 14, 2025 3:38 pm

After 40 years of being an M's fan I am having a hard time processing that this is actually going down. We deserve this Boys!

Let's also remember those souls who cheered on the Mariners for years but are no longer with us. I bet Darren, being the historian for this forum, could supply those "heroish" names.

I have two friends that died in their 40s, Roy DeNoma and Todd Raden that were huge M's fans.

From the forum there is MikeyB and Jeff Halfmoon Hathaway who went down with his Crab Boat the destination in 2017.

That is what the kids forget or don't care about when they think 54% is a great plan and want to slow play everything. Thousands of hardcore life long M's fans have died every year since Jerry took over.

Jeff Halfmoon Hathaway. We had a few disagreements on the Times forum but first time I met him in Tacoma for a Rainiers game he bought me a beer.

I’m going to go ahead and say that there is some surreal stuff that I feel. I think it’s the need for a support group for abused mariner fans that I’m too manly to get help for.

Optimism about the Mariners makes me uncomfortable

Don't know if I'm now the elder statesman on the forum at 80 and a stroke survivor but I've got to be close. I can testify for going to several M's games their first season while working on my Masters at the U.
