Kirby pitched the 9th and got the save when the M's eliminated the Jays in the Playoffs in 2022.

Watching MLB and they showed Kirby has dropped his arm angle from 36 to 29 degrees give his ball more movement, maybe why he struggles a bit early in season

Woo says he's ready so looking like he would go after Kirby and Castillo if needed

I doubt that Woo gets a start in this series. Especially with the way that Miller threw the other day.
We've got Kirby and Castillo today and tomorrow. Gilbert will have full rest on Friday if needed and then Miller and Kirby could come back on Sunday and Monday with full rest if we needed a game 6 and 7. I think you try to find woo a few relief innings to get his legs back under him and then line him up for a start in the World Series if he is looking strong enough.

Now if we can just get Arozarena, Suarez and Robles going without somebody else going cold. Arozarena is especially irking because he ALWAYS hit well in the postseason for Tampa Bay. Just a matter of having six guys putting together at least a couple good at-bats per game and the pitching will take care of the rest.

You look at these two teams and the Mariners are clearly better. Hard to expect a sweep, but a lot harder to expect Toronto to win four before we win two.

Gilbert will only be on 3 days rest on Friday. It would Woo if he is ready and probably Miller if he isn't.

Sorry yeah, I switched it around in my head who started which game. Miller would go Friday and Gilbert on Sunday. Same dudes though and everybody on full rest or more.

Seems like you would want to use Woo if he's ready. You want him getting geared up for a possible WS. How about as an opener?

I love that idea. That way they can gauge how far he can really go. He's been out of the routine.
None of us thought Miller was going to have the start he had.
Woo has the stuff. Question is can he put it together on the World's biggest stage?

How have we made it so far without a soft tossing lefty or an Asian player?
