It is funny on reflection how I opened the season of Game Threads.

For those of you who have waited a lifetime and have lost people with whom you would love to share this ride with.

GO MARINERS.

Well if there is a silver lining Gilbert ERA with 5 days rest is a whole run less 4.44 vs 3.07 , I expect vintage Gilbert tonight

The Mariners are now 5-2 all-time in the postseason vs. the Blue Jays -- including 4-0 at Rogers Centre, when accounting for ALCS Games 1-2 and their two-game sweep in the 2022 AL Wild Card Series.
• Seattle’s six wins this October are its most in a single postseason, as the club passed its previous high of five (done in 1995 and 2000) with its Game 5 win.
• Their 17 homers this October are their highest in a single postseason, too, surpassing the previous high of 16 (1995).
The Mariners have scored first in nine of their 10 postseason games so far.

Logan with a chance to punch their ticket. He seemed a little nervous last time out. He's on full rest for this one. Dodgers series is over. All eyes on this game.

They have game 7 if needed, and I'm sure they'll be saving Bryan Woo for that. But, I would still label this one as the biggest game in franchise history due to the opportunity on the line - a trip to their first ever World Series!

At this point the Mariners seem more comfortable hitting at Rogers Centre than T-Mobile. So, I like their chances.

One thing I'm being reminded of watching this series is the importance of patience. I'm reminded of how great a base on balls really is. With a walk you're not taking any chances of lucky out on a hard hit ball. With a walk, you're seeing pitches and running the pitch count up. With a walk, you're giving the next guy better pitches to hit. With a walk, you're making the home run score more runs. With a walk, you're not hitting into a DP.

The pressure is on the Jays now. So keep the pressure on. No better way than for Logan to miss bats and put up zeroes.
