What are Seahawks' biggest needs?
1. Offensive line. This is one spot where the Seahawks always seem to need an upgrade.
But they are set at both tackle spots and left guard, and probably are content at center.
That leaves right guard, where Anthony Bradford, after some promising moments early in the season, seems to be plateauing. He was called for two penalties Monday night against Houston and has just a 44.4 grade from Pro Football Focus (73rd of 82 guards).
A possibly more likely scenario than adding someone in a trade to compete with Bradford is throwing second-year player Christian Haynes back in the mix.
Haynes has been on injured reserve all season because of a pectoral injury, but Macdonald said Tuesday that he has a chance to return to practice next week when the team returns from its bye.
One veteran guard commonly mentioned as potentially available is Cleveland’s Joel Bitonio. He is a 34-year-old whose contract voids after this season and is making just $1.255 million this year.
2. Nose/defensive tackle. The Seahawks defensive line has been a strength. But they could look to add depth on the interior. Johnathan Hankins, re-signed in the spring to play the same run-stuffing nose tackle role he did a year ago, remains on the non-football injury list because of a back issue, and Macdonald said there is no update on his status.
One player who could fit that bill who may be available? Former Seahawk Shelby Harris, who is with Cleveland on a contract that voids after this season and has only a $2 million salary. PFF rates Harris 29th among all defensive linemen and 18th against the run.
3. Edge rusher. The oft-stated saying is a team can never have enough pass rush.
But Nwosu's play the past few weeks after returning from knee surgery may have the Seahawks feeling OK about its group — especially with Derick Hall expected back next week after missing two games because of an oblique injury.
The Seahawks have the fifth-best pass rush win rate, via ESPN, with Boye Mafe ranked fifth — ahead of big names such as Maxx Crosby of the Raiders and Trey Hendrickson of the Bengals. Nwosu’s five sacks over the past four weeks are tied for the most in the NFL.
4. Anything else? Some might argue the Seahawks could use a running back. But Macdonald this week said he thought backs Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet “had good performances against Houston. The best bet is they would ride it out with what they have, though adding depth is always a possibility.
And the Seahawks seems to be getting what they need out of their receiver group.
Two trades I'd make before the deadline.

How about trading Milrose for a guard. There's gotta be a team out there that would go for that.

Re: Two trades I'd make before the deadline.
Looks like Julian Love reinjured his hamstring during practice yesterday and might be put on the IL. So unless John makes a move for a safety we're going to be seeing a whole lot more of Ty Okada for at least another month.
Re: Two trades I'd make before the deadline.
Not good. Or perhaps Okada steps up in a big way. Yet another undrafted player.

speaking of spelling, did Hindenburg hijack your user ID Douche?
Jared sports an E in his last name so he could play in the SEC instead of the Ivy League.
