Yes, Corey Seager has a limited no-trade clause in his contract with the Texas Rangers. This clause allows him to veto trades to a specific list of eight teams, but does not give him a full no-trade clause that would prevent him from being traded to any team.
Just a hunch that we are one of the dirty 8. ha

If Texas is trying to get rid of Seagar's contract, then he'll likely end up a Yankee or Dodger.

I don't get this trade at all.

Why is Texas taking on more years for slightly less money up front of a worse player?

Helps the M's I guess... so good for them.
Nimmo was better in 2025. OPS was almost 100 points higher and had 3 fWAR vs. 2 fWAR.
Mets fans were saying in the Athletic that Nimmo's defense was "virtually unplayable" at the end of last year. Nimmo is a clubhouse guy but I have heard Simien is as well. Also the Mets are trying to up grade their defense especially in the infield

I would hope not but wouldn't doubt it.

Can't say a Divish interview is ever bad.

Few tidbits:

1) Says the M's included Ford in the package for Duran but Minn ultimately went with 2x top 100 prospects from PHI instead of a larger package.

2) Gives Colt Emerson a 45% chance to make the MLB roster because he adapts so fast... compared him to Julio in that regard.

3) Said he think the M's are unlikely to trade Castillo due to the contract and scares from the rest of the staff regarding health.

4) Said he thinks Polo comes back because he shares an agent with a lot of M's and uprooting his life for a few extra million wouldn't be worth it.

5) Said he thinks the M's could target a high-end reliever because they have in the past but a deal just didn't get done.

6) Said Raley took his lack of production really hard and that he's a potential target to move because they have put a lot of work and effort into Canzone.

7) Believes they will give Robles a shot because last year was so chaotic for him.

8) Said they are going to give Cole Young every chance to prove himself this year and that struggles with his arm may have been due to a shoulder injury and resulting mechanical problems.

9) Said he doesn't think Anderson or Jurrangelo move the needle in a Skubal trade... said he believes it will take an MLB arm like Miller and a few prospects to get it done... didn't give it a likelihood.

Great stuff. Thanks for the Summary!

1. They need to find a way to get that deal done. Probably cost us the WS
2. Seems about right
3. Seems I will be right about that
4. Sharing an agent? I doubt that moves the needle. Why hasn't he signed yet then? Uprooting his life? Does he live in Seattle in the off season?
5. I shall believe it when I see it.
6. Why give Robles a shot but not Raley? Probably money.
7. Same question
8. His arm? Did that cause his 3-51 slump too??? That was almost as bad as JKs 3-65 his rookie year which told me he was going to be a bust. I have more faith in Cole because he did have a 50 game stretch mid season with a .768 OPS but still, horrible slump.
9. I agree the want a MLB ready starter. In my plan I am sending Kirby and sweetening the pot with Peete.

1. What other top 100 prospect were they unwilling to move. That's pure BS on JDs end. LAZ, Michael Arroyo, JC all viable options
2. Part of me wants to see what this kid can really do. Soto came up as a 20 year old.
3. If he's not gonna bring back anything big why bother. Again DT I with you if he can get you a lockdown reliever from Brew Crew do you still pull that deal, I know I would.

4. That makes no sense. I guess fine but I think we'd still rather prefer Yandy + reliever coming back. I'm with you on this as well DT I this he's due for another injury plagued year. I hope not but you never know.
5. This should happen before Jorge. You have the pieces to do it, quit being so F'in stingy.
6. Don't know why, another lefty bat off the bench.
7. Makes no sense
8. Ditto that DT really rooting for him too. I still think there's too much upside for him.
9. I do that deal tomorrow. Come the F on. Get that S&*% done already quit F'ing stalling. All freakin' day DT all freakin' day. That's a bold F U were here to F'in win the whole F'in thing. We ain't goin' nowhere. Roll that dice JD roll that dice.

Hearing the Marlins are under pressure again to add salary. Even more so this off season than last. desbcoach believes Randy might be traded and Brady Vargas posted this:

My Randy Marlins trade and then do the Donovan Joshua Baez trade. Risky to put a rook in RF but you have Donovan at 3B and resign Polo and you only have one rookie in the lineup.
