Lawrence and Witherspoon were both out for the Tampa game.

I don't know about that. If Sam makes a couple better decisions they win they game easily. Even with the picks, If they were just a hair better with clock management they get 10 more yards and a game winning field goal.
I think the entire league is wide open. There is not a single team in the NFL that I look at and say the Hawks don't have much of a chance at winning.

Elite is a tough one. I mean, if you are top five, you aren't even elite, right? I wouldn't look to much into yesterday. There was a lot of luck in a lot of the shit that Tennessee had go their way. The tackling was poor, but how much of that was hiving your fourth and fifth string LBs in the game? Didn't they pull two guys off the practice squad to play LB? I know Thomas was out there, but I thought the announcer said they pulled up two guys. That is going to impact your tackling.
I thought Spoon played very well, so did Woolen. Cam Ward looked an awful lot like the guy I watched in college, take what should have been a sack and turn it into a positive play. Of the NFC teams we have to really worry about, who does that? Really just Hurts, right? Not a lot extend plays like that. We just aren't a second half team...seem to relax with a big lead, get a lot more conservative, and it probably impacts the overall play. Hard not to relax when you have some of the leads we've had.
I really didn't want to see it come down to a last second onside kick. But giving up the middle of the field and letting them burn clock won the game. The Titans ran 26 plays for 96 yards in the fourth quarter, and only scored 7 points. They played right into what the defense was giving them, and lost. Down two scores they burned almost 12 minutes of the fourth quarter, again....to score 7 points.
If I was a Titan fan I'd be wondering why a team like that didn't play to win, instead of playing to make it respectable. I mean, one drive was 11 plays for 34 yards and resulted in zero points! But they chewed up over 7 minutes! Looking at those numbers, I am far less worried about this defense. We gave them the fourth quarter....let them kill themselves by a thousand cuts.
Sorry, down two scores in the fourth, you aren't trying to win the game if you run 26 plays for 96 yards. That is a staff and team just trying to save face. Had they taken shots? They probably turn the ball over. Pretty sure our staff saw this and figured there was no need to change the defense. Let them take the short shit and burn clock. Why not?

I guess if you like watching train wrecks, it's turning into a remarkable disaster. Is it getting into Urban Meyer territory in relation to expectations? Does Pete survive? He's under contract for three years, probably around $15 MIL a seasondouche wrote: ↑Mon Nov 24, 2025 2:24 pmRaiders fire OC Chip Kelly after latest poor offensive showing in loss to Browns.
"I spoke with OC Chip Kelly earlier this evening and informed him of his release as offensive coordinator of the Raiders," head coach Pete Carroll said in a statement. "I would like to thank Chip for his service and wish him all the best in the future."

“Has anyone seen Pete Carroll and Joe Biden in the same room together?” joked @ArdRix1.
A 2-9 team that has now dropped five straight and allowed 21 sacks in its last three games.

Meanwhile, the Patriots have quietly amassed a record of 10-2.

Watching them I see a team that has quit. It's pretty early for players to be tuning out Pete....so maybe there is something else going on. But those guys can't wait for the season to end. It's been coming for awhile. Sorry, but I felt like Rams over Bucs and Browns over Raiders were easy calls. I really should have put more points on those two. But damn, I didn't see Buffalo losing, and sure didn't see Dallas winning. So what the fuck do I know anyway!? LOL

Raiders made Chip Kelly the NFL's highest paid OC. And he was fired.

I didn't understand it. Maybe I am off base, but when was Chip every successful in the NFL? Odd hire to begin with, regardless of what they were going to pay him, but to make him the highest paid? Raiders gotta Raider I guess.
Re: Around the League
Imagine how much total money will be flushed on PC and Chip once PC is fired at the end of the season. Grandpa should have stayed home with the Grandkids and played Madden.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 12:15 amI didn't understand it.
