Red Sox just gave up 2 prospects for Sonny grey and paying him basically 41 million for 1 year and I believe Castillo is as good and younger.Cardinals payed 20 mil of itCaptain 97 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 11:11 pmHe is going to be 33 and has an ERA+ of 104 over the last 2 years. Who is going to pay 20 Million for an old pitcher who is barely above league average. BTV has him valued at -7.4.desbcoach wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 10:10 pmI disagree , look at pitching value and his durability. He is making 20 million and still has that value or close. They may not get much of a return but assume their goal would be to create salary spaceCaptain 97 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 4:40 pm
No one is taking Castillo unless you pay most of his salary.

This year J.P. Crawford posted 2.8 fWAR, valued at $22.4 million:

Crawford benefited from great picks by his first basemen, but Crawford was charged with only five throwing errors:

Nine shortstops had more throwing errors than Crawford this season. Five more tied Crawford with five throwing errors. When someone uses a simile that is often a solid sign of some light relief.
You didn't spend any time researching all that, did you?
Bloody hell.![]()
Go on, I dare you to have a chuckle at this photo from a practice session earlier in the season.

Thanks. I bought chains a few hours ago for the low low price of almost $200. All to have Thanksgiving dinner with my 90 yo Mother in Law on Whidbey Island to keep the inheritance intact and to get our Rottweiler to her breeder to have $3000 a piece pups. lol I can't believe how my life turned out.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 2:11 amThey got about a foot of snow.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 1:58 amCare to wager my brother????Coeurd’Alene J wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 11:00 pm

Yeah, it's so subjective, a tiny market with a ton of variables.
