Hopefully he fair just a bitter better than Huard did. My God what a bust he was.Back in 2024, Kodi Greene’s football journey took him away from the Pacific Northwest when the highly touted offensive lineman transferred from Eastside Catholic High in Sammamish to Southern California powerhouse Mater Dei High.

Now, Greene — a Renton native — is coming back to Seattle. The 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive lineman is the No. 2 player in California, the No. 3 offensive tackle and the No. 19 player in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings Greene, who originally committed to Oregon before flipping to Washington on April 24, is the first composite five-star prospect since former Kennedy Catholic High quarterback Sam Huard signed in 2018.
Greene held offers from around the country including Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, California, Florida, Kansas, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and USC, among others. At Washington, Greene will be reunited with his older brother Kayden Greene, a walk-on defensive back.

Landed a 4 star QB out of NJ. Great highlights video at the bottom. Looks like he has a cannon and is accurate throwing on the run.

Looks like they lost one of the four stars.

And you know I started a recruiting thread right? I mean, there are like a max of seven new posts in the past two months on this page, and you missed the one I started this morning?KEY UPDATE|10:47 am
UW loses four-star recruit to Stanford
Dre Pollard, a 6-foot, 175-pound athlete who shined on both sides of the ball for Clark High in Las Vegas, flipped from Washington to Stanford Wednesday.
He’s a four-star prospect, the No. 3 player in Nevada, the No. 19 athlete and is ranked No. 317 in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Pollard plays running back and wide receiver on offense and defensive back on defense. UW is back to 23 commits and 11 blue-chip recruits after Pollard’s flip.

What's wrong with ya Central Warshingtonians anyway. How many recrutin threads do we need?

We can't do math either, because DT was off by 2. This article says they finished 13th in the Nation. I think that is what Captain said yesterday also...on the FIRST recruiting thread that was started!Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 1:23 amWhat's wrong with ya Central Warshingtonians anyway. Washington officially added 24 players — 11 on offense, 12 on defense and one specialist — on the first day of the early signing period Wednesday. The Huskies’ 2026 class, which included 11 blue-chip prospects, finished the day ranked No. 13, the highest of any UW class since 1999, when recruiting websites began tracking the information. The Huskies also landed five local prospects and signed players from 11 different states.
Captain already mentioned yesterday where we were in the Big Ten rankings, but this is the first time I've seen anything saying this many kids would enroll early. Is this the new normal?Chris Petersen didn’t consistently sign classes considered top 20 by the 247Sports composite rankings until the final three seasons of his six-year tenure. Kalen DeBoer, who’d just led Washington to a College Football Playoff championship game, never had a recruiting class ranked higher than No. 26. UW’s 2025 class finished the cycle ranked No. 23.
A little reminder about composite rankings here. Excited about this Greene kid being a five star, but then remembered the last one. I remember being so pumped about some of our QBs. Montana, Eason, Huard....Only USC, Oregon, Ohio State and Michigan assembled higher-ranked classes in the Big Ten. Fisch said he expects around 20 of his newly signed players to enroll at UW in January in time for winter quarter.
Kodi Greene is the sixth-highest-rated player to ever sign with Washington since 247Sports began tracking recruiting information in 1999 and the first composite five-star prospect since Kennedy Catholic quarterback Sam Huard in 2021.

Washington HS QBs sure have sucked the past 10 years. Max Browne and RWs QB coach Jake Heap come to mind as well.

Jesus Captain. My 53rd birthday is right around the corner, but thanks for making me feel even older than that! LOL
I still remember being so stoked that we got Kason Williams. I watched him when Heaps and Montana battled it out on Root Sports....and was absolutely thrilled. I still think that he got a bit of the shaft in the coaching change. Not sure what Petersen didn't like about him. It's not like he was making a Jackass of himself like Peters.

I wonder if he's still making a living as RW's QB/life coach or if he decided to move on to something a little more rewarding.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 05, 2025 5:07 pmWere getting old. Seems like just a few years ago but Heaps was in the class of 2009. The dude is already 34 years old.
