Hasn't done much anyways but stay on the IL or get suspended.
It’s an OK play he could provide a right handed platoon option for DH with Rielly Wrightfield with Kenzo or vice versa and occasionally give nails a break versus a lefty, pinch hitter, etc.

I’m just hoping it isn’t one of those you’re too late type of decisions
Morose say it set them up to trade an OF

We do have 6 OFers but one of them has to DH. None of the fringe guys will net much.

I have a feeling one of them is getting moved.

Well they are going to have 13 pitchers as always so that leaves 13 spots for position players:

Cal
Naylor
Young
JP
Williamson/Colt
Randy
Julio
Canzone
Refsnyder

Robles
Raley
Rivas
Knizner

Colt or Williams will be in AAA but they could keep all of the OFers. The may move an OFer and keep Bliss instead or they could move Bliss.

I imagine that vs. LH starter Ref will be DH and Robles will be in RF and vs. RH starters Raley will be in RF and Canzone at DH.

I copied and pasted the bottom line and forgot to change his age to 35 yo. Uncanny similarities.
Apparently they haven't learned from their long line of overpriced bums.

I wouldn't take this bum over either Robles or Raley, what's Dipollander thinking? Nothing like usual?
Right-handed bench bat that kills lefties. I don't think it's any more complicated than that.
But whose spot does he take?

I wouldn't take him over either Raley or Robles if it means we lose either guy.

And to pay him $6M on top? Crazy man...

It's like every other 35 year old platoon bat Dipoto whiffed on the last few years.

Seems like a wasted move and now they're obligated to give him plate appearances in six million ways.

I think they probably move Raley, maybe in a deal for another bullpen arm. There's one too many outfielders right now. Canzone is the starter in right and Robles is the 4th OF that can back up all three positions with Refsnyder as the OF/1B right-handed bench bat and occasional DH. That leaves Raley as kind of the odd man out. Or, they could move Canzone. I like Canzone, but I could see that happening.

Basically signing Josh Naylor was the end for Raley because they want a RH backup for Naylor.

I'd rather hang onto Raley than dump him for Refsnyder.
