Reed's unhappiness is not directed at the Hawks, he tweeted that he is unhappy with the projections of what an offer could be, thinks its disrespectful...

First Arenado of the Rockies now Reed. Perhaps MLB and the NFL need to hire counselors specially trained in helping pro athletes work through these horrible feelings of disrespect.

You would think he would have worked extra hard during the suspension to stay in playing shape and then kicked ass when he got back into the games. Instead, he seemed rusty if not out of shape. And then he is surprised at salary projections that reflect that.

well in any event, Moore has me mystified once again, I mean I know he must have a bigger brain than me, being he is a successful journalist and all that, but I am not following how Reed being disappointed in the projections means its unlikely he will be back as Hawk, he is going to retire?
If you try to draw conclusions from tweets, you can get yourself in trouble and are frequently wrong. But if I had to guess, the latest tweets from Jarran Reed are not a good sign for the defensive tackle to stay with the Seahawks.

As you know, he’s a free agent and will no doubt sample the market. And that market, from his perspective, better be more than the $8 to $10 million annual range for Reed.

Was it game shape or apathy? Someone in a contract year that isn't prepared to kick butt? Yeah, sounds like a smart one.

Pete Carroll and Andy Reid #1 coach to play for... Seattle #2 city to travel too.

Unfortunately, money trumps everything else by a large margin as we've already seen.

Players take less money to go to a team they like all the time.

yeah, its seems to be getting reported that way, Moore does it there, that it means he isn't going to want to resign with the Hawks, I fail to see the connection
may not be logical, but certainly seems to be true - few vet FAs disappointed with their market value show the emotional maturity to fairly consider staying with their previous team even if they cant do better elsewhere. i think they play the disrespect card in their mind as a defense mechanism, and somehow that disrespect seems magnified when coming from a home audience, more of a slap in the face in familiar territory than someplace new where they arent as well known - even if the home offer is slightly better than others.

In no order.

1. Clowney

2. Arik Armstead

Dude grades out at a 90 on PFF, has shown he can rush the passer. Plus the ability to take talent away from Frisco is all the more pleasing. Offer Clowney the most then amp it up & offer Armstead double figures. Those 2 bookends holy shit.

3. Austin Hooper or Hunter Henry. I would say Henry if it weren't for the injuries so that's a huge question mark. Hooper would make a good compliment to Hollister & Dissly.

Arik Armstead isn't what they defense needs. They are missing more of a speed rusher. His game is closer to Clowney . Hawks need like a Ngakoue or Barrett to compliment Clowney at the 5 tech. Mathew Judon might be available in a trade.

Not sure they need to spend FA money on a TE. They need a healthy Dissly .
