49ers Brian Fleury - likely OC pick

Post by auroraave » Sun Feb 15, 2026 11:28 pm

That seems to be the narrative circulating. Tight ends coach. Pretty interesting.
May be able to make the RB and TE group more prolific in this offense.

Seahawks are expected to hire 49ers tight ends coach Brian Fleury as their offensive coordinator, per sources. Fleury will replace Klint Kubiak, who became the Raiders head coach.

This needed a second thread? I mean, he's got a great beard and all but not sure this news is worthy...

This is the superior thread. No comparison.

I don't like the looks of him. Bad vibe.

Will Seattle be keeping guys like Outten? If we can keep the core, or most of it, and bring in Fleury as a complimentary piece, could be a good move. Another good thing about Fleury is he knows the division well - big advantage in playcalling - assuming he is calling plays? Seems like Macdonald is building the team to win the division - shows how smart this guy is. Really curious about the playcalling. Is he a tactician? Can he set up plays? Guess we'll find out!

Well yeah - he's been forced to wear Chardonnay Nation gear - this is his "please rescue me" look.
God help us if he's wearing crocs tho - then I'll be worried

Before joining the 49ers, Fleury spent three seasons with the Miami Dolphins, first as a football research analyst in 2016 and then as the team’s director of football research from 2017 to 2018. His background in both analytics and on-field coaching has helped shape his reputation as a detailed, modern offensive mind.

I do not care. He might be a good coach but this won't end well. Some scandal of sorts. Book it. I am a good judge of character and this dude has some evil in his soul.
