The Players Championship. Where do they come up with these names for mundane and unremarkable golf tournaments? It cheapens the whole concept of what it means to be a champion. ‍

I mean, what do they call the championship for non-players?

I don't think it's considered mundane or unremarkable. It's the PGA championship.

Murdered what? I mistakenly referred to it as the PGA championship thinking the PGA and the PGA tour were the same thing. But before I could get my post fixed Mike posted the fifth major deal.

So not being a particularly big golf fan I'm just now investigating the difference. So the premier tournament would be the PGA championship but the premier players association is the PGA tour. That would seem to make sense
