Less BOBO
Re: Less BOBO
Jake basically 2.25 with incentives. Heck Dereke Young is getting 1.8 from the raiders. And we are paying Cam Ackers 1.125 and he isn't playing. And we are paying Cody White 1.1.

What's interesting to me is how the cap gets sliced. When Darnold gets his extension that will be over $100 mil between him, rasheed and JSN. So basically a third of the cap to three players.

Re: Less BOBO
Like I was saying, I'd look at explosive plays. I think they will be able to run the ball, Wilson doesn't look to be a sissy. They will continue with multiple TE and FB sets. The "this is gonna hurt " could be even more descriptive. They still will be a team that can run the ball when they are expected to do it, that to me is the key. On the other hand, less explosive play ability. So if this is more or less the look going into the season they see the explosive plays coming more from the passing game. It's got to affect the play calling. I don't know about the percentage breakdown of pass to run but certainly the progression. You're working to create explosive plays with how you call plays.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2026 8:09 pmFuck yeah we are finally a pass first team and are in the 21st century. As long as opposing defenses don't realize we can't run the ball we should be good to go!Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2026 8:05 pm1. James Cook (BUF): 1,621 yards, 12 TD

Like charbonnet, he seems deceptive terms of he doesn't seem that impressive but he's getting graded nearly as valuable as K9. I could see the run game more like that. It won't seem very impressive but it will be grinding out yards, getting the job done setting up a more explosive passing game

Re: Less BOBO
I wouldn't say pass first, I would say balanced. And I would also say we aren't reliant on one back. This belief that forcing K9 to stay would have just worked out in our favor is a strange one, and one that this organization has never bought into. Again, Schneider has used the tag twice. Once to trade Clark and once to work out a deal for a Kicker. He doesn't use the tag.
Barkley and Henry have seemed to buck the trend, but before them? The history of success of a RB playing under the Franchise Tag was slim and none. I love Walker, but he aint Barkley or Henry.

Why I am not the biggest fan of paying 40+mil for JSN. Almost rather trade him after next year. Way too much. Love him. Just not for 41 million.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 12:21 amWhat's interesting to me is how the cap gets sliced. The last thing I am is a cap expert. I do feel JS knows what he is doing in that regard. It can be hard to wrap your brain around the numbers but I've seen it referred to as a deal. I haven't seen anywhere it being considered an overpay. I do like how they jumped on it and got it done. The pressure is on the Rams now to get something done.Gametime wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2026 2:41 amWhy I am not the biggest fan of paying 40+mil for JSN. Almost rather trade him after next year. Re: Less BOBO
If a team is going to top the market at WR, at least JSN is a good kid. He's likable. For example, when he was on pace
to be the all-time WR and then things slowed down, he didn't cry on the sidelines like some Diva fucks. He either is
totally bought in on the "team first", or he's smart enough to keep his head down. He talks to Jesus, but he shows up
at UFC fights with Abe Lucas. He's not too white. He's not too ghetto. He's ridiculously talented.

Yeah, you have the Rams now faced with topping that for Nacua in the middle of his latest situation, making bigoted comments and biting people lol.

And I think they should get some credit for that. They could have gone passive, kicked the can down the road waiting for a new owner. But they've kept the pressure on

"No," he said. "I had a great talk with Jody the other night and she's like, 'Let's go for it, let's rip it.' It's just business as usual for us. Business as usual and all football."
