This is fucking insane.. I am going to start eating more rice and beans and carne asada.
THAT was a pretty swing. Can you imagine him and Lazaro Montes, interspersed with Julio and Cal in our batting order? The stuff of dreams.
Eat those beans and rice! Carne asada, yum. We get that occasionally at INDIGO in Lynnwood, Fred Meyer parking lot, corner of 164th and Alderwood Mall Pkwy. Of course, must have a couple of Modelo's to was it all down.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Hitting 0.357 and a OPS of 1000. Pretty good numbers to start season with

I thought that was interesting, typical left hander, they picked him up in the rule five. I'm sure he still has promise
CHICAGO -- Chicago White Sox Opening Day starter Shane Smith was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, one day after giving up just one hit while striking out eight batters in 3⅔ innings against the Baltimore Orioles.

Smith also walked five batters, getting pulled for the third consecutive outing without completing the fourth inning

Here is a brief writeup on Brock Moore from LL earlier this year. They do a top 20 prospects list, which he didn't make, but they did brief writeups of a bunch of guys as honorable mentions.

Brock Moore - RHP
2025 Statistic of Note - 12.5 K/9

Moore is undeniably the most volatile pitcher to make this list. Strictly a reliever, Moore’s fastball frequently eclipses 100 mph and is paired with a hellacious two plane breaking ball that strikes out a ton of opposing batters. Throw in a changeup with massive fade and velo separation, and the makings of an elite reliever seem to be ready made. The problem? Borderline 20-grade command. Moore was the owner of a truly astounding 13.5 BB/9 mark last season and has little, if any, idea where any of his offerings are going. He’s a rather good athlete and evaluators have remained bullish on his ability to reign in his arsenal enough to get by, but until that point, he’s a tough watch out on the mound. With the best pure stuff in the system, hopefully the hulking right hander can dial it in and become the lockdown reliever his stuff would indicate he can be.

Here's a little more info from MLB Pipeline on Brock Moore. He didn't make the top 30 this year, but last year they had him at #23, so the info below is over a year old.

Brock Moore
RHP, Everett AquaSox, A+
Seattle Mariners
AGE: 25
BATS: R
DOB: 05/17/2000
THROWS: R
HT: 6' 6"
DRAFTED: 2024, 7th (213) - SEA
WT: 230
ETA: 2026
Scouting grades: Fastball: 65 | Slider: 55 | Changeup: 40 | Control: 40 | Overall: 40

The Mariners went shopping for hard-throwing senior signs on Day 2 of the 2024 Draft and may have found a couple of potential big league bullpen pieces in Hunter Cranton and Moore. Moore bounced from Danville Community College to Menlo College in the NAIA ranks to Oregon for his final collegiate season at age 24. He brought a ton of velocity to the system and to Single-A Modesto for his pro debut after signing in the seventh round, posting four shutout relief innings in the Nuts’ championship run.

Moore is all about power coming from his enormous 6-foot-6 frame. His fastball averaged around 96-97 mph at Oregon, and after seeing him hitting 101 on pull-downs in early pitching camp, the Mariners think he could sit in the 99 mph range out of the bullpen. He can also really spin his firm 82-85 mph sweeper and he has a firm 85-88 mph changeup, though it’s unclear if feel for it will be there long term.

That won’t matter if Moore can find a way to limit the walks just a little bit. He does not have a great record of strike-throwing, with a career 4.9 BB/9 rate at Menlo and Oregon combined. He’ll need to be tested quickly at the upper levels given his age, but the physical talents are too impressive to ignore.

Catcher Luke Stevenson is the early hitting star. Yep the pick that I questioned because he didn't hit great in college.

.435/.538/.739/1.287

Fellow Sox catcher Josh Caron also hitting well with a .855 OPS

Felnin struggling with just a .212/.714 line. I think he might be this decades' Carlos Truinfel.
