Can Hancock Handle the John Thomas? Monday 20th GT
T-Mobile Park - "Bark at the Park Night" vs Athletics
6:40 PM PDT / 2:40 AM BST.
Emerson Hancock (2-1 ERA 2.28) v J.T. (John Thomas) Ginn (RHP 0-0 ERA 3.31)
J.T. seems to have moved from the bullpen to the starting rotation. He allowed just two runs over 5.1 innings against Texas and he’s got a 0.98 WHIP.
BUT you don't want to handle the John Thomas guys.
If you haven't brushed up on your 19th-century British literature—i.e. Lady Chatterley's Lover by D.H. Lawrence—this pitching matchup is essentially double-entendre heaven.
"John Thomas says good night to Lady Jane, a little droopingly, but with a hopeful heart." which has pretty much been the story of our season so far. Its obviously not a phrase still in common usage unlike "the bleeding weather", but my mates of a certain age or education would chuckle knowingly if they knew Hancock was up against a John Thomas.
Go Hancock, Go Mariners.

Talk about a pair of first names, can you get more ordinary than John Thomas? They should have named him MacKenzie

Young Lady Chatterly was my first exposure to "Porn" when I was about 13 yo. I think I used to watch it on Showtime and could not get enough!! LOLmostonmike wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2026 5:55 amT-Mobile Park - "Bark at the Park Night" vs Athletics

I always wonder about parents that name there kids the most common names imaginable. Why? You have 9 MONTHS to pick a name, can't you get even slightly creative. I like my name because it isn't common but not crazy like MacKenzie either.
I was named after Samantha's husband on Bewitched..........and I married a Witch! JK Lynda! lol

My mother told me I was named Bruce because it lacked diminutive forms. I of course grew up envying guys with names that had diminutive forms

We have hit horribly on the road and have had 4 HRs robbed. I actually find this article to be good news since things will obviously progress positively away from Seattle...
