Based on scouting reports and expert projections leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, most analysts believed Jadarian Price should have been selected as an early-to-mid Day 2 pick (Round 2 or 3).

While some scouting reports graded him as a 4th-round value, the prevailing consensus among experts and mock drafters was that his speed and explosive efficiency made him a high-upside pick for the middle rounds.

Key Perspectives on His Draft Value:

Best Value Range: Many experts viewed him as a top-two running back in the 2026 class, trailing only his Notre Dame teammate, Jeremiyah Love.

Why He Fell (Pre-Draft): The primary reasons for his projected Day 2 status were his role as a rotational/backup player at Notre Dame (limited volume) and, in some cases, the "risk" associated with his previous injury history.

The consensus was that, while Price was a "backup" in college, he was an explosive, efficient player who deserved to be picked shortly after the first round, although his talent made him a fit for a team looking for a playmaking back.
So, "early to mid day two" and "shortly after the first round". Define that?

We should have traded back, ten spots? Fifteen spots? Added a fifth round pick that never made the team? And because that fit the where the experts thought Price should go that's a win? We went from 4 picks to 8 picks AND got our new starting RB. How terrible.

As has been pointed out him being a RB2 at ND is a positive. Less mileage. And it is not a small sample. He ran for 1692 yards on 280 carries for a 6.0 ypc and 24 TDs.

If you think of that as one 17 game season it is 16.5 carries per game and 1692 yards and TWENTY FOUR TDs.

Wow! I thought Bradford was a lock to be on the roster this season.
By Bob Condotta
Seattle Times staff reporter
The Seahawks added eight players during the NFL draft who will battle with veterans for spots on the roster and roles on the field in the fall.

Let’s look at four players on the roster whose fight to retain their roles or roster spots just got tougher.

Guard Anthony Bradford
While coach Mike Macdonald said they’ll figure out later if fifth-round pick guard Beau Stephens will start out on the right side or the left side, it makes the most sense that he’d get thrown into the competition with Bradford on the right.

Grey Zabel, the 18th overall pick a year ago, is manning the left side and figures to do so for years to come.

But Bradford is entering the final season of his four-year rookie contract and at the very least, the Seahawks figure to view Stephens as a potential long-term heir apparent on the right side, if not an option to win the job this year.

Bradford started all 17 regular-season and three playoff games last season and was praised consistently by Macdonald.

“AB played really good football for us,” Macdonald said at the NFL combine in February. “He really did. I mean, the stuff he did in pass protection solidified our pocket. (He) moved people off the line. Played tremendously hard and physical. So I’m excited about where his career is going, and let’s rock ‘n’ roll.”

Bradford was also considered by many observers to be the most inconstant member of the Seahawks’ offensive line.

Eli Stowers goes No. 54 to Eagles

He was rated 70th among 81 qualifying guards last season by Pro Football Focus with a pass-blocking grade that ranked 76th and a run-blocking grade that ranked 57th.

Bradford has no guaranteed money in his contract for 2026, and the Seahawks would create $3.674 million in cap space if he were released.

It’s obviously worth remembering Stephens has yet to play a snap, so there’s a long way to go before any decisions would be made.

I like it- Lets hope he can fly out of the backfield and grab those instant money screens, break one tackle for 12 yards at will :)

Yes, as I have said I think it is pretty VALUABLE to have Price as our RB1 as opposed to Wilson or Washington and a 4th round pick.
I would have liked to see them trade back to somewhere in the 45-50 range and, if you can still get Price - great! If not, you still get a decent player at another position along with an early to late-mid 3rd rounder depending on which draft value chart they're going by. But I didn't view RB as as big of a need as you did.

As I mentioned we had the 8th worst rushing yards per carry with two second round picks both with PFF grades in the high 80s. Where do you think we would rank with two UDFAs in Wilson and Holani and a 7th rounder coming off an ACL? Mike Washington was a fourth round Rookie IF we were able to get him.

There has probably NEVER been a greater positional need in the history of the team going into the draft than our need for a RB1 last week. That is why I picked him at 32. Absolute no brainer imo.

If the need was that great then JS should have tried to sign someone like Algeier knowing how thin the draft class was at RB. Instead, he got stuck drafting for need over BAP despite having stated he doesn't believe in that approach.

Atlanta has a terrible O line. His career avg was better.

But given how dire the situation was, perhaps they should have paid Walker.
